On Thursday, 19 September, the Home Time campaign will host its first national Social Media Day of Action to raise awareness about the growing number of unaccompanied children and young people (aged 16-24) who are locked out of Australia’s housing system and left without a place to live.
The theme ‘Me At 16’ encourages the public to reflect on what it was like to be 16 and think about the importance of having a safe and stable home during such a critical time in life.
Supporters can join the conversation by sharing their reflections on social media using the hashtag #MeAt16. Let’s change the narrative around young people in crisis and push for action so no young person is left without a home.
