Key findings from the Commissioner for Children and Young People’s ‘Your Environment: Your Say’ survey 2024 Report released by Commissioner for Children and Young People
This report was developed after results from the Your Environment: Your Say Survey highlighted the concern that children and young people are feeling towards the environment.
Across Western Australia a total of 981 children and young people, aged between eight and 17 years old, participated in the survey. They were invited to provide open-ended responses to questions surrounding the environment and how we care for it, as a community.
This report identifies the most common areas of concern that were discussed in the responses and proposes actions to enhance engagement of children and young people in tackling environmental issues in Western Australia.
