The Bassendean Kids Street Party was a fantastic celebration of play, community, and child-led action! Children took the lead, running their own stalls while families and neighbours gathered on front lawns, transforming the street into a vibrant hub of activity.
Ahead of the event, we hosted workshops where children shared their ideas on how to make local streets safer and more child friendly. These valuable insights are now being compiled into a report for the Town of Bassendean, helping to inform the development of its first-ever Street Play policy.
