Young people’s experiences of domestic and family violence

New findings from the ACT

Throughout 2019-2020 the ACT Children and Young People Commissioner and the ACT Family Safety Hub partnered together to listen to young people’s experiences of domestic and family violence. Listening to 70 young Canberrans, including 35 with direct experience living with domestic and family violence.

The below booklet includes the young people’s insights as to what it’s like, what has helped and didn’t help and what needs to change.

The booklet also includes stories that bring together the experiences of these young people.
